Your initial post of at least 250 words
You must reply thoughtfully (50-100 words) to two of your peers’ posts by Sunday at 11:59 PM.

His favorite.
So many possibilities.
These are the last lines of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Sunday in the Park with George — and I love them. This notion of “possibility” should inform our discussion this week. Where might these research questions take us? What new ideas might we encounter? How will our thinking and writing evolve? Who knows?
For your initial post (250 words), throw up your research question and a bit of writing: Why should people care about this? What’s the debate all about? Why do you want to write about this? Feel free to recycle the work you did last week. Simply put it on the discussion board. If you can help it, do this ASAP.
For your replies, I want you to read your peers’ research questions and give some enthusiastic suggestions for potential sources. If you like, begin your reply with my favorite rhetorical question: “Ya know what would be cool here?” And then, fill in your ideas.
– Do you know of a podcaster or YouTuber who speaks on this subject? Anyone on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook?
– What kinds of information should the author seek out? Statistics? Polls? History? Personal testimony?
– Do you know of a publication or resource that the author might wish to check out?
– Do you have any thoughts, reflections, or insights to offer?
– Do you know of any authors, celebrities, or public personalities that have spoken on this subject?
– Do you feel strongly about an answer to the question?
– Do you have any suggestions about the types of sources that might be best in an essay like this one?
Judging by the success of last week’s discussion, everyone here is respectful and kind. I can feel a little community growing. Now, let’s brainstorm together. Offer your best, most creative suggestions. The author may not use your suggestion exactly, but it could get them thinking in a new direction.
