Specifically, from everything learned about the health topic and policy, the student will write a letter (which the student may or may not choose to send, that is not a requirement for the class) to an appropriate policy-maker or representative (e.g., Director, CEO, Board, State legislator, Congress member, etc.) who would be an appropriate recipient. You will need to address the letter to them and their office, from you as a student at a university and a member/citizen of your community. There is no requirement for the letter other than it must be one (1) page or less in Times New Roman 12-point font. Policy-makers and representatives do not read longer messages than this, so you need to write a brief and convincing argument in the letter for or against the selected policy, changes to the policy, or implementation considerations about the policy.
