Music Activity Choices
Identify recording of two songs that would be appropriate for a young child and add links. Write up why the songs would work for preschool children in a one to two page typed paper and include how and when you would use it with children.
Find two “piggy back” songs. You may also write your own piggy back song.
Teach two songs that you remember from your younger years.
Teach a song appropriate for preschoolers in a language other than English. Add a copy of the song and translate it for us and tell how you would introduce it to young children in a classroom. Write about this in a one to two page typed paper.
Make a song “glove”. Create pieces for two songs to attach to the glove. Write about how you would use the glove and how you made the glove, along with the two songs that you have chosen in a one to two page paper.
Create your own individual song book. Include at least 5 songs in the book. Use one page per song. Illustrate each page.
Make a flannel board “song”. This may also be done on a magnet board rather than a flannel board.
Make stick props to go along with a song (you can use tongue depressors etc.) Write up the song that you made the props to go along with.
