Use multiple paragraphs

Use college-level sentence structure with varied sentence structures,
Incorporate and informally acknowledge 2+ ideas/concepts that are NOT your own (can include a huge array of things like observations from nature, social media, texts, conversations, billboards, TV/movies, music, your classes, your memories). You may need to include a sentence that summarizes what you’re describing—many things will be different in 50 years including links. For this assignment, do not use MLA/APA style—I know this is a bizarre thing to say as an English teacher.
Focus on your observations—this isn’t an essay in that every paragraph relates to another paragraph to “make a point” but you’re writing to illustrate how you see your life at this moment
Your introduction of yourself as a Mankato Student in Spring 2072; should include a brief introduction about your life. You may want to give an overview of what has happened in the past year or two, but don’t focus on just the start of the pandemic, be sure that you’ve grounded this reflection in the now of the semester.
Your overall observations & reflections about the semester as a whole—it may be helpful to think of this as your conclusion to the semester
You’re asked to write your reflections on the Mankato of 2072. Think about the things that affected you during this time—what do you want your reader to know about this challenging time.
Consider (particularly when incorporating ideas) what makes your experience as a student during this time both typical and different. Describe how you would locate yourself in a historical and cultural context. You may want to think about how our society is changing in the context of global events and write down what you are doing to spend your days either in social isolation, service to your family/community or at work. What are the goals that you have as a student and in what ways have those ideas been challenged and how have you been strengthened during this time?
It may also be helpful to think about this reflection as providing a bit of a time capsule affect—in 50 years what would be important that you remember from this one particular week that you lived? Maybe you’ll have grandchildren (or have friends that do) and they could be taking classes at Mankato. What would you like them to know about the week? About your life? About this time?
You’re welcome to talk about the class in this assignment, but I’m guessing that this class may not be the most significant part of your week. You might want to include a respond to a graphic like a photo and a meme and explain why this seems significant to you. You can incorporate things like discussion board ideas, but be sure to move into your own unique and new reflections.
