Please quote directly from the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. Please do not answer the key questions to keep in mind directly in separate paragraphs. Do not use separated paragraphs such as this:

Rather write a continuous essay broken into several or more paragraphs (2-5), starting with a brief intro paragraph.
Again, please use quotes where Nwoye or Okonkwo appears from the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.
You will need to go back and find every appearance of Nwoye in the novel, stringing these appearances together to form a complete picture of who he is, how he develops, and what his role is in the structure of the novel, in particular in relation to his father.
Key Questions: Why has Achebe chosen to make him such a central character in the novel? What light does his development shed on the nature of traditional Ibo society? Okonkwo offers one reflection of the values and patterns of behavior of his culture; Nwoye a quite different reflection. Since the two are in conflict, we need to ask what this means regarding the overall design of the book. The values espoused by the narratorial voice, I’ve argued, are highly consonant with those of the communal voice of Umuofia, but at times dissonant with those of Okonkwo. What is the relation between the narratorial voice, the communal voice, and that of Nwoye? In what ways are they consonant? In what ways dissonant?
What does all this tell us about “what the novel is saying” in the final instance, when we consider it as a whole?
