Introduction – It should include background, importance, relevance and stakeholders of the topic. It could also include description and comparisons of the most common methodological approaches that were used to handle your topic with the reason of choosing the study methodological approach. You cover these points to answer the questions: Why was the project done? Why should anyone care about the results of this project? Who would use the results of this project? and for what? What did similar previous studies do? What are their conclusions? Why did you select the applied method/s? (4 points)
Objectives – They should be a single general objective which is not operational, which is then broken down into a list of 3-4 specific objectives which were addressed by the study methods. You should answer: What are the expected outputs/outcomes of the project? (3 points)
Materials and methods – Describe the steps that you actually followed to achieve your objectives. This section should detail each step that was done to collect and analyze the required data. The data should also be explained in terms of the main variables (subjects, types and units). You should answer: What did you do to achieve the objectives? (4 points)
Results – The results section provides a succinct and specific explanation of what was discovered, accomplished, collected or produced. The most suitable methods are used for data presentation based on the type of data. Diverse data presentation methods are used, if applicable. (6 points)
Discussion – This section should provide a comprehensive interpretation of all the results and evaluates what the results mean to the project topic and/or study area. You should also evaluate the relevance or uniqueness of what was accomplished in the immediate context of the project’s objectives. You describe how the outcome fits within a larger field by comparing with similar studies especially in the same study area or areas with similar settings. (6 points)
Recommendations – They should be concise policy recommendations to deal with the problems identified by the project. They should be operational and applicable measures that can be implemented for the case. They can also be measured to use or accentuate the opportunities defined by the study. They should always address limitations of the study and suggest how they might be overcome in future work. (5 points)
Conclusions – The conclusion should provide a clear and concise picture of how you are able to accomplish all your project objectives. It should be but a synthesis of key points not merely a summary of your points or a re-statement of your results and discussion. (4 points)
