o Step 2: In the Discussion forum labeled DQ4: 2.1 SECURITY AND SURVEILLANCE, post 400 – 500-word (minimum) response to the following questions:
1) Under what circumstances should the state be permitted to access the personal information that it gathers through the use of constant surveillance? What limitations and safeguards does Taylor propose to minimize the abuse of these powers?
2) Does it matter what kind of government employs surveillance technology to monitor personal behavior? Should U.S. citizens be wary of increased reliance on these technologies by their government?
3) Would Facebook (with its pieces to create a real-life version of the world of Minority Report, ranging from identifying citizens who harbor feelings of disagreement with their government to estimating those who might commit a crime in the future to the facial recognition needed to deploy a fleet of drones to locate or target them) take us towards an Orwellian dystopia? Explain.
4) What about and why your smart devices are talking about you?
5) Do you believe the government knows far too much about what happens behind closed doors?
