We’re getting really close. I have three questions about the line that reads: Y=AKα Lα-1= Akα L α= (0, 2) (2/3 of the way down page 4)
My understanding of the Cobb-Douglas is that the exponents should be alpha and (1 – alpha). That’s not what you’re showing. (If I am correct, you’ll have to revise the example you show, since it affects the solution.)
It’s not clear to me what that ordered pair represents. I assume the second number is alpha. Can you clarify where that comes from?
I’m okay about you just assuming values for alpha and A in your example, as long as somewhere in the narrative you discuss how you actually find those numbers in the first place. The K and L are your variables, but to be able to use your equation in your example, you have to find alpha and A, so what’s that all about?
