Using the Interactive Read Aloud Template provided, create a detailed lesson using an informational text.
When planning the lesson, think about which inquiry and informational text standards can be taught with the chosen text. The lesson should be interactive, stopping a few times through the text to ask questions to support deeper thinking with the text. The lesson plan should focus on before, during, and after the reading. Students will also need to respond to the reading with writing or sketching.
After writing the lesson plan, include a 200 – 250 word narrative explaining how the lesson demonstrates your new learning from the readings this week. Be sure to include at least three references from this week’s readings.
