To do this you have to set up a project management plan for one of the processes you wrote about in week 3.
Select one of the processes you wrote about in week 3.
The primary failure point for that process has just occurred.
Of the 10 knowledge areas for project management, you are to focus your attention on the following areas.
Scope: This is where you define the scope of the project. What does the project entail and how do you know when you are successful. What type of work does the project encompass and what type of work is outside of the project. Your deliverables for this section are:
Scope management plan
Defining resources
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Process Flow Chart or Process Map. How you plan to control the scope of the project
Time: Create a project schedule with estimated durations of each business activity within your project. Draw a project network diagram and determine a critical path. Calculate slack time at each activity.
Cost: Estimate total costs of your business operations. Connect costs to the different project tasks in the schedule. This is your basic budget for the project.
Quality: What is the standard the project is meant to meet and how do you know if you have met that standard or not. What are the deliverables and how are they inspected for quality?
Stakeholders: This is the communication plan.
Identify the different stakeholder groups.
What is important for them?
How and how often will you communicate with each of the groups?
