Visit the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and choose a work of art from the collection that dates after 1300, and recreate it using items in your home. Take a photograph of what you make and submit it here. The objective of this assignment is to familiarize you with the collection of our museum (hopefully in a fun way). When you are recreating your choice of artwork, pay close attention to the composition and all its elements. Consider color palette and textures. Pay attention to the proportions between the different elements. The goal is to look more closely at the work of art than you might otherwise. You want to reproduce as best you can the exact work of art. You will be graded on how close your composition mirrors the original, and your submission will be worth up to 50 points.
Remember that the work of art that you choose must be from the link and it must be since 1300. Please upload a link to the museum work you are reproducing along with your image.
