This is a group project, and for my part, I need to write a page and a half about :
– How does Costco position their products Ex: Rotisserie Chicken, all the way in the back so people can buy other products before they buy the chicken.

OPM 3000 – Operations Management
Final Research Project/Presentation
Final Research Project: This project requires research on a specific area of Operations Management and/or Supply Chain Management. The paper must be 6-7 pages minimum/ 10 pages maximum (this is more of a guidance), double-spaced, with citations and at least 3 external sources – scholarly sources are preferred. The presentation will be a reflection of the research you have conducted as a group. Students must submit the topic they wish to research for approval by the date indicated by the professor.
Topic: Choose a topic that is related to the course material. As this course spans many different areas of business, you have a wide-open world of potential topics. You can research any topic, industry, company(s), regulation, policy, business trend, etc – as long as you relate it to the material. This purposely vague so that you have full creative license. Consider this a chance to show what you have learned and tie it back to real-life examples…much like I try to do in my lectures every class!
You are not simply writing a book report/fact sheet (be creative).
Presentation: You can choose to designate presenters or have the entire group present. I am not grading you on style so do not be nervous, just don’t read directly from the slides (that is usually ineffective in a business setting).
This is a real world-like project. You have gotten this far in the program so this isn’t your first time at the rodeo. Take it seriously, be organized, and have fun with it!

Groups: Only one group member needs to submit the paper. So make sure the person submitting it has reviewed the documents for consistency and accuracy. You need to upload at lease the research paper and powerpoint presentation – but you can include other supporting documents if you’d like! Be sure to place all the names of the members on the front or cover page.
