Small saucepan
Small bowls
Measuring spoons

Dropper or pipet or syringe or small spoon
Strainer, cheesecloth, or paper coffee filter
Small, colorless or white glasses or cups or small bowls
Slotted spoon
Clock or timer
Ingredients
1 head of red cabbage (size is up to you – a small head is sufficient)
Baking soda (¾ teaspoon)
Baking powder (¾ teaspoon)
White vinegar (3-4 tablespoons)
Water
Your choice of one of the following fresh, green vegetables: broccoli, green beans, peas in the pod (snow peas). Enough to make 2 cups of prepared sample.
