Need help with my question – I’m studying for my class.
The Implicit Association Test (IAT) is a popular and respected method for measuring implicit attitudes and beliefs. Take a test of your choosing, and respond to the following questions regarding your experience.
Write an essay of 750-1,000 words on your experience with the Implicit Association Test (IAT), located on the Project Implicit website; see the attached document under the assignment tab for further directions. Include the following:
Describe which test you took and your results. Discuss if your results surprise you. Why or why not? Interpret the results. Do you think they are valid for you personally? Reflect on the results of your test and your own implicit bias, briefly explain the causes of prejudicial attitudes and discriminatory behaviors you may have seen in others. Do you see similarities or difference between your bias and others potential bias. Consider the overall validity of the IAT. Do you think this test is a valid and reliable measure of implicit bias? Use scholarly research to back up your claims in this section.
Use two to four scholarly resources, for this assignment the textbook can count as a scholarly source.
When writing in APA style, it is important that your analysis is written in third person. Writing in third person helps with clarity and conciseness throughout your paper. However, some instances writing in first person is acceptable and should be used sparingly. Solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines.

I’m stuck on a History question and need an explanation.
In the article, “Carib Cannibalism,” author Richard B. Moore discusses a placard he saw at the Nelson’s Dockyard Museum in Antigua. The poster explained a series of artifacts of the Carib peoples by indicating that they were cannibals who ate everybody – the French, the Spanish, and other indigenous groups. Moore thought that this was a stereotypical characterization that did not reflect reality at all. He also believed that this stereotype was dangerous and harmful. He was so upset, he wrote to the museum supervisor and requested that the poster be removed. Imagine that you are Mr. C. J. Blackstone, the museum supervisor (p. 134). Imagine that you just received Moore’s correspondence, with his request that the offensive poster be removed. Attached to his letter was a draft version of this article. Imagine that everything you have ever read up to this point has indicated that the Carib peoples were cannibals, but Moore’s letter (and article) present very compelling evidence to indicate that this may not be true. As you do not wish to have your museum associated with offensive portrayals of indigenous peoples, you decide that you must share this information with the Board of Directors of the Museum, so that you can all consider whether to keep the offending poster in place. But, the members of your Board of Directors are very busy people and they do not have time to read Moore’s very long correspondence with you, consisting primarily of this very detailed article. So, you write an 800-word summary of the article to share with the members of the board. THUS, your assignment is pretend you are Mr. C.J. Blackstone and write that 800-word memo to the Board of Directors summarizing Moore’s article. You must summarize his article in 800 words or less. The Board of Directors are very busy people!! As you begin to draft your summary, consider the following: Moore writes very strongly against the notion the Carib peoples of the Caribbean were cannibals. Why? What is the basis for his argument? What evidence does he use to prove his point? 800-word summary addressed to the Board of Directors will be assessed based on how well it completes the two main goals outlined below. 1) Describe the main points of this author’s argument. You do not have to answer all of the following questions in your 600-word summary, but thinking about them as you read may help you describe the main points of Moore’s argument. a. What does Moore say about people’s right to defend themselves when they are attacked? How is that right interpreted differently among victors and vanquished? b. According to Moore, who invented the notion the Caribs were cannibals? Why? c. Why did other people accept those claims? d. How did various Europeans use such claims to support nationalist ideas? e. How did subsequent historians accept or refute these claims? Why? f. How is cannibalism used as a shorthand to support the notion that Europeans were civilized, while other groups in Asia, Africa, and Latin America were “savages”? g. Why is it important to stop using language that supports this notion? 2) Describe the evidence that the author uses to “prove” his argument. a. Give at least three specific examples of that evidence. b. You should use the words “for example” – followed by a specific quote or example – at least once in your summary. And again, your summary must absolutely be no longer than 800 words! Thus, you must include a “Word Count” in your heading at the top of the paper. You can determine the “Word Count” of a document (if you write it in Word) in two ways. 1) Look at the bottom left side of the screen when you have your Word doc open. You should see a bar across the bottom. The first thing on the left side will be the number of pages (“Page 1 of 1,” for example). Then, to the right of that, you will see the word count. That will include the entire document, including the heading at the top. 2) If you would like to exclude the heading from the Word Count, which you should do, then highlight the words you want to count, go to the top menu bar, click “Review” and then choose “Word Count” on the left side, among the options that appear. That box will give you the Word Count of just the text you have selected.COM 340 – Module 4: Critical Thinking

Critical Thinking Assignment (90 Points)
Important! Read First
Choose one of the following two assignments to complete this week. Do not do both assignments. Identify your assignment choice in the title of your submission. (Note: This assignment is not a Milestone for the Portfolio Project, so you can choose either option.)
Option #1: Evaluation of a Blog-based Website (Paper)
Select a blogging platform (such as WordPress, Ghost, Drupal, Joomla, Medium, Blogspot, Squarespace, Weebly, Typepad, Tumblr, or Wix). What are the pros and cons of that platform as a choice for a blog-based website? What issues might you need to address or might you have in creating a blog-based website using that platform? Are there any ethical or legal considerations?
Synthesize your evaluation in a 2-page paper (not including the required cover and reference pages) and support your appraisal based on best practices with a minimum of two sources in addition to the course resources. The CSU-Global Library (Links to an external site.) is a good place to find these sources. Your paper must be written and formatted according to the requirements in the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA (Links to an external site.).

Option #2: Evaluation of a Blog-based Website (Presentation)
Select a blogging platform (such as WordPress, Ghost, Drupal, Joomla, Medium, Blogspot, Squarespace, Weebly, Typepad, Tumblr, or Wix). What are the pros and cons of that platform as a choice for a blog-based website? What issues might you need to address or might you have in creating a blog-based website using that platform? Are there any ethical or legal considerations?
Present a synthesis of your analysis using a 10-slide presentation that includes either speaker’s notes or voiceover. You may use PowerPoint or online tools such as Prezi. Include any information necessary for your instructor to access your presentation, particularly if you are using online slide presentation tools. Follow the CSU-Global Visual Presentation Tips at http://csuglobal.libguides.com/CommonWritingAssign/vispresent (Links to an external site.).
If you opt to present your presentation with voiceover, Screencast-O-Matic (Links to an external site.) is a good, free tool for recording your presentation. You will need to create your presentation, record your presentation, and then host it on a site such as YouTube. Submit the video link of your screen recording to your instructor for grading. (Tutorials for using Screencast-O-Matic are available at http://help.screencast-o-matic.com/ (Links to an external site.).) If you opt to create speaker’s notes, fully script your presentation in the notes section of each slide. Submit the slide presentation file to your instructor for grading.
Regardless of which option you choose, support your appraisal based on best practices with a minimum of two sources in addition to the course readings and resources. The CSU-Global Library (Links to an external site.) is a good place to find sources. Your presentation must include in-text citations and a reference slide and utilize quality slide design and writing. I’m working on a History question and need guidance to help me study.
A maximum 800-Word Dialogue based on the chapter “One of Us People Here” from Malintzín’s Choices. Imagine that you are having a conversation with an opinionated person who seems both sexist and uninformed. In the middle of a conversation about Mexican history, this person makes the following statement: “Malintzín was not just a traitor to the Mexican people, she was also very unimportant in the story of the Spanish Conquest of Mexico. People only say that she’s important today because everyone is so afraid of being ‘politically incorrect’ that they feel they have to say that a woman participated in this historical event, even though she really didn’t matter very much.” You have recently become familiar with Malintzín and the conquest of Mexico and you find this statement infuriating. You feel compelled to persuade your interlocutor of the reasons why he is completely wrong. Thus, your assignment is to write a dialogue between yourself and this other person (go ahead and give her a name) in which you attempt to prove why Malintzín was important in the Conquest of Mexico. Make sure to include your interlocutor’s objections and your rebuttals. For example, if he discusses how the Tlaxcalans painted depictions of the conquest in the 1580s that do not include Malintzín at all – which he interprets as meaning that she wasn’t important – respond by pointing out that the Tlaxcalans had very specific political reasons for leaving her out of those paintings, reasons that have nothing to do with how important she was. Be sure to discuss various issues, including: • The visual sources created at the time of the conquest that depict her important role • The traditions that emerged in Mexico after the conquest that give homage to Malintzín • Why translation became less important after the initial years of Spanish contact in Mexico and how this affected the way later generations viewed Malintzín • The role of historical memory and human beings record historical events in different ways depending on their particular context • Also discuss how historical memory is sometimes evident in dances, celebrations, traditions and rituals and not just in written texts. Your maximum 800-word dialogue will be assessed based on how well it completes the three writing goals outlined below. 1) Makes strong assertions 2) Supports those assertions with specific and concrete details and examples from the text a. Give at least three specific examples of that evidence. b. Be sure to include phrases such as “for example” or “for instance” – followed by something concrete from the text 3) Explains important concepts, such as “historical memory” Word Count: Minimum: 500 words Maximum: 800 words Your micro-theme must be longer than 800 words! That box will give you the Word Count of just the text you have selected. For the Primary sources of Malintzin document attached I know it’s a lengthy document but you ONLY NEED TO READ UP TO PAGE 7.
