The case study research paper can focus on an analysis of any aspect of strategic communication. The topic can be related but not limited to any function of strategic communication, an analysis of a successful communication campaign, media effects, theory, communication leadership/management example, crisis response or issue in strategic communication, the topic of study within the program. Ex: a comprehensive discussion of social influence and persuasion using an actual example, the use of new media tools or an aspect of the industry you would like to analyze. Essentially, select one topic area from your program and find an artifact that represents the topic to analyze using case study research. This paper will end up being 25 pages in length.

Select your topic and make sure to include the following items in your 4-6-page paper. It is expected that each section of this assignment is one page in length.
2) Section 1: Topic and Project Overview: Provide a rationale and an overview of the topic and type of project you will complete. Tell the reader why you selected it as your capstone project and how it provides a seminal work of your program.
3) Section 2: Background: Provide background information about your project. State the relevance of the topic and project type, as well as how this topic relates to other courses. State which courses your project aligns with and provide a detailed perspective of the topic and its relation to future work in strategic communication and the program.
4) Section 3: Purpose Statement and Research Questions: Submit your purpose statement in this section. Also, include a clear purpose for the project and provide at least two research questions you would like to use in this project.
5) Section 4: Project Plan: Create a completion plan and outline for the project. Clearly provide an outline that will serve as a plan for the project. Make sure you state how you plan to complete the project (referring to the expectations for the case study research project or the creative project) and acknowledge you know the expectations of the type of project you have selected. Make sure to include a general outline of your paper, with clear sections and descriptions of what you plan to write in your paper.
6) Section 5: Source List: Provide a list of at least 5 sources you plan to use in your paper. Provide justification for the sources and clearly explain why you selected the sources.
5) This 4-6 APA formatted paper is the guide for your capstone project. It allows the reader to see your plan for your project and what you want to accomplish in the final project. Make sure to include everything you need to have a clear plan.
