This is a critical review of Miller’s research paper on BAME teachers, focusing on the research methodology. The main paper to critically analyse is the one titled ‘MAIN’ Miller paper and the other Miller papers attached are to support, for context and to reference and include. I have attached a document called ‘critically evaluating research’ which has a list of questions and points to consider in the essay. Please include as many of these as possible in the essay. Also, another point to include is that the researcher is a Black professor himself so please consider positionality, as well as critique the sample choice and whether another sampling method would have been more appropriate than the one he used. And/ or critique the selection of respondents considering power/ leadership attributes if it makes sense. Another point could be to critique the data analysis or coding method. Please use other empirical studies on similar topics and lots of literature to support or critique each point. Please use leadership theory such as followership, transactional and transformational leadership, DAC, and many more. You don’t have to include these specific theories, these are just examples of what you can include, but as long as there is some leadership theory in there as this is an educational leadership essay. I have attached an example of a critique of ANOTHER PAPER NOT THE MILLER ONE to show the structure and give you as much help and guidance as possible.
