The paper should be a minimum of 1000 words, double space, 12 pt Times New Roman font. Include a Title Page, including a references page. The Title Page and the References page are not part of the 1000 word minimum.
The aim of the paper is to (1) describe the organization where you volunteer, and clearly connect its mission or goals to a theory of Human Development; (2) describe a challenge facing the organization; and (3) propose a plan to conduct Action Research so that the organization can address the challenge or problem.
The paper will then have 3 parts:
Part 1: Describe the organization and its relevance to Human Development
what is the mission of the organization?
who are the stakeholding groups and key people of the organization?
what are the primary activities of the organization?
what theory of human development seems the most relevant to the mission and primary activities of the organization? Describe the theory and connect it to the mission and primary activities directly and explicitly.
Part 2: Describe the problem or challenge facing the organization
what is the problem or challenge, in detail?
what are some of the possible causes of the problem or challenge? (use your concept map)
Part 3: Write a proposal for the organization to conduct an Action Research project to address the problem or challenge

Part 2 above meets the criteria for “Section 1: Focus and Framing”
So, you will do “Section 2” and “Section 3” for this part of the final assignment.
Section 2: Review the sources you put on your reference list (see the Discussion Board post), and make explicit connections between the sources and articles (similarities of ideas, topics or information).
Section 3: Describe the research proposal.
What is the research question to be answered? State clearly and explicitly.
How should participants in the research project be selected? (sampling)
What manner of data collection should be used?
What method of data analysis should be used? (pick the appropriate data analysis for the type of data collected : qualitative: thematic analysis; quantitative: correlations
