Subject: National and International Space Policies governing human space exploration
Task:
700 words discussion on the ethics, policies, laws, and international convention gaps to be addressed for future human exploration and utilization missions. Please consider the following:
Include your ethical considerations and suggestions for future US Space Force activities and militarization of space. Should personnel be sent to protect the US and International interests at planetary habitats and prospecting sites? Note that despite the outer space treaty, several countries including the US, Russia, and PRC have tested anti-satellite weapons
Do the existing conventions prohibit these activities and if not, should the treaties be amended to reflect the peaceful nature of the uses of outer space?
Is the use of satellites for spying, economic and military, prohibited by current international conventions? Should the treaties be amended to prevent such activities and minimize conflicts on Earth?
NASA Space Act was recently amended to replace men with humans as space explorers. Should COPUOS (UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space) adopt the same? *my answer is yes
