Select and read at least two “refereed” journal articles related to your selected topic and
summarize each article in a word document. The details are provided in Moodle.
Locate “two” peer-reviewed journal articles (refereed/scholarly) that have been published on the topic you have chosen. Read the articles and provide a summary on each paper (no more than 500 words for each summary). It should be a concise and a coherent summary with details on the process, what the authors did, results and findings of the paper. Your briefing must be in your own words about the operation, and also its potential use in your research paper required in the course. Points that should be included in your summary:
State the research question and explain why it is interesting.
State the hypotheses tested.
Briefly describe the methods (design, participants, materials, procedure, what was manipulated [independent variables], what was measured [dependent variables], how data were analyzed.
Describe the results. Were they significant?
Explain the key implications of the results. Avoid overstating the importance of the findings.
The results, and the interpretation of the results, should relate directly to the hypothesis.

You can also use OnePetro which is an online library of technical literature for the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) industry. Check the “resources” folder to find out how to access onepetro using Nicholls account. Be sure to include a reference citation for the article in your posting. Use www.citationmachine.net to properly format an SPE journal article.
Important points to remember:
The selected articles should be a published journal paper. You are not getting any points for any other type of articles, like newspapers, catalogs, reports, books, online blogs, Wikipedia and etc.
