Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to help students think through the importance of social, legal, and ethical issues that may arise with their product or service and the implications of decisions made within those frameworks. It is designed to help the learners understand ethical and legal issues related to marketing practices. This knowledge helps to prevent such issues when developing the marketing strategies in their marketing plan. The executive overview of the marketing plan is not a summary and conclusion, but an overview of what the plan entails and what it does not address.

Topic 1: Friend

In my perspective, I believe that a good friend is someone who is honest, accepting, and respectful towards you. I would want my friend not to be afraid, to be honest with me and who can accept me for who I am. I also believe that it’s important to have respect in a friendship; without it, to me, it means that they aren’t afraid to hurt you and will only look out for themselves in the friendship. Life happens and as you get older things can get in the way of any type of relationship, however, to be a good friend it doesn’t mean that you have to talk or see each other every day. I have some friends that I used to speak with daily but as I stated earlier, life happens, however, I still stay in contact with them on social media with a message now, and again, I still consider them a good friend of mine. In addition, I do believe that it is important to have at least one friend in your life, even if it’s a family member. Also, it’s important for kids to have friends, even toddlers. “Although young children’s social competence is limited by their cognitive development, apparently early experience with peers enhances interaction skills.” (Berns, 2016, pg. 308) Friendship is good to have for the toddlers socialization, as Berns (2016) has stated that it “enhances their interaction skills”, they are able to recognize multiple emotions and engage with those who need comfort and those who want to play. As it may seem, almost all kids have friends, unfortunately, there are kids that end up either neglected or rejected from everyone else. There are multiple reasons why these kids are often neglected such as shyness, cheating, aggressive, lack of social skills, and much more. “Lack of acceptance by the peer group early on is linked to later maladjustment.” (Ladd, 2005; Howe,2010) (cited by Berns, 2016, pg. 310)

Topic 2: Gangs

When one hears the word “gang” their mind immediately goes to violence, killings, or drugs. Throughout the year’s gangs have been growing in numbers and are in neighborhoods and also school grounds. As the gangs grow in size, it seems the more and more innocent people are killed in the crossfire. There are multiple characteristics of gangs such as vandalism, assault, drug trafficking, shootings. Also, there are specific colors that most gangs wear, for example, there are two famous gangs in Los Angeles, the Bloods, and the Crips. Both gangs have a specific color so you can tell them apart, the Bloods wear red and the Crips wear blue. Along with having a color for the gang, gangs also use graffiti and will ‘tag’ up what they consider their territory. Bronfenbrenner believes that there are five risk factors that can lead someone into being in a gang; individual, family, school, peer group, and community. “For the highest risk youth, a stepping-stone pattern appears to begin as early as ages 3 to 4 with the emergence of conduct problems, followed by elementary school failure at ages 6 to 12, delinquency onset by age 12, gang joining around ages 13 to 15, and serious, violent, and chronic delinquency onward from mid-adolescence.” (Howell & Egley, 2005) (cited by Berns, 2016, pg.318)Can you get this excel assignment done plz?
