For this Discussion Board, please complete the following:
The public administration field is vast because there are many types of professional positions or jobs available within public administration. Many public administration jobs are offered by cities, counties, and state agencies. Public administration jobs can also come from other public agencies, such as school districts, hospital districts, community college districts, and other publicly funded government organizations. These jobs tend to be at a supervisor level or higher, such as managers, directors, administrators, and so on.
In this assignment, you will need to search and locate a local job posting for a public administrator position at any publicly funded government organization. Consider searching for manager-level positions within fire, police, parks, library, public works, or other departments from cities and counties. You may even consider manager-level positions, such as a director, coordinator, or even a principal at a school district. The choice is yours.
Locate and explore a local job posting, read Chapter 4 of the textbook, and in your own words, write 200–250 words that accomplish and answer the following:
Identify the position and what organization was hiring.
List several of the required qualifications for the job.
Describe what ethical decisions should be considered for the position.
What do you like best about the job posting that you selected?
