Okay, so some of the data you inserted into the database changed, almost immediately, as it most usually does. The changes affect the student table, the instructor table, and the courses table. Some of the changes are related, in that a change to one table could change one or more other tables. The data to be changed includes last names, telephone numbers, addresses, zip codes, new courses, departed students, instructors, and added and deleted courses. However, if the database has been properly normalized, the changes to be made won’t impact the accuracy or integrity of the database and its relationships.
So, what process did you use during the design of the database to ensure that the database’s integrity would remain solid even though the changes and modifications indicated above? How did each of the steps you may have performed safeguard the data integrity? Is there any of the data that needs to be changed in danger of not being updated in every instance?
