I’m stuck on a Political Science question and need an explanation.
Here are a few hints to keep in mind:.
In question #1, be sure you identify the primary reason which triggered the recount and then go on to explain why the voters were confused and why that became one of the issues presented in court litigation.
Question #2 is cleverly illustrated by rapid-fire editing of meetings of the Christopher and Baker teams. Pay particular attention to those scenes in the video.
For Question #3, be specific about Katherine Harris’ duties in her elected political position and what major decision was in her hands.
Question #4 needs to have the reason why both teams of lawyers were convinced the US Supreme Court would not hear the case. It had to do with a long-standing tradition in the Court regarding state constitutional matters. It is an important point because its implicates the conflicts of interest members of the Supreme Court had and their bias towards Bush.
Question #5 is complicated and you need to listen closely to the video or dig deeply into some outside research to come up with an accurate answer. It is a decision by the Court which the members never discussed and has gone down as one of the worst decisions ever taken by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Number 6 is up to you and please reflect on it carefully. Since Bush v. Gore we have had another election with a discrepancy between the popular vote and the Electoral College and an election which called into account outside interference in the voting process in the United States which could challenge the democratic system and lead to considerable loss of faith in the fairness of the process.
1. What happened in the Florida election to trigger a recount of ballots?
2. What were the different strategies of James Baker (for Bush) and Warrent Christorpher (for Gore)?
3. Who was Katherine Harris and what role did she play in the drama over the voting in Florida?
4. Why did both sides feel the United States Supreme Corut would not hear the case of Bush v. Gore?
5. In the end what did the US Supreme Court decide?
6. What are the lessons of this election?Case Resaerch Report

The role of a financial accounting manager is to oversee the operations of the department to facilitate the analysis and monitoring of data. A management information system (MIS) plays an important part in guiding the decisions of the financial accounting department. The learning objectives and concepts presented in the course relay that MIS can significantly impact a firm’s performance, functions, and productivity. Therefore, using MIS to lead a team in the financial accounting department will ensure that appropriate information is collected from various sources and distributed to the right individuals. Hence, as a manager, I would utilize the system to help my team access required data in time to meet its objectives.
Additionally, as a financial accounting manager, I can use MIS to keep track of and monitor operations within the department to ensure that the employees are functioning to their full potential. I can also use the MIS to study consumer behavior and give members of the department important data and probable trends (Sakthivel, 2014). Therefore, the team can be able to forecast long-term perspectives and contribute to the decision making process. Creating a disciplined data reporting system establishes knowledge and database for all employees working within the financial department. Access to such information allows easy blending and analysis which will save time and resources.
As a manager, I would utilize the MIS to ensure that all employees are performing to expectations. I would use the system to make decisions based on the data available. Moreover, I would avail this data to members of my department to enable them contribute to decision making processes to help us meet the targets of the business.

For this week’s collaborative activity, you will review Apple Inc.’s most recent financial statements. Click here to view Apple’s financial information. Based on your analysis of Apple’s most recent financial statements, predict whether Apple’s financial health will likely improve or deteriorate over the next five (5) years. Provide a rationale for your response. Please respond to peer posting that follows: Based on the recent financial statements of Apple, I predict that Apple’s finances will definitely improve over the next five years. Judging from the reports in the past two years, Apple’s revenue has went from about 34 billion to approximately 50 billion meaning they are sustainging incredibly. They have made great profit in service and have a extremely great loyal customer base. In addition to the many new apple services and products to come they show that they can sustain any compeition and have no intentions on stopping business. So I defintiely see them lasting over the next five years.Philosophy

Glover, Humanity, Part VI
For this week’s Discussion Board please choose ONE of the following options and write a three to four paragraph response making sure to refer to the text. Please also write a short (one paragraph) response to one other student. In every case, be sure to demonstrate that you have done the assigned reading.
Explain and analyze Glover’s argument regarding the core of Nazism. What sets Nazism apart from Maoism and Stalinism? (see especially p. 327, last two paragraphs). State three reasons Glover offers in defense of his view that Nazism overwhelmed the moral resources by a combination of Belief and tribalism.
2. In Chapter 38: “The Willingness to Believe,” Glover argues that “To resist propaganda people need the ability to think critically” (360). Glover’s idea is that there is a fixed point of belief, and that because all beliefs exist in a web of other beliefs, the fixed point of belief causes alteration of all other beliefs (despite evidence to the contrary). So, for people to maintain the fixed belief (for example, the idea of a Jewish conspiracy to weaken society in order to dominate society), many other obviously false beliefs become unassailable (Social Darwinism, Racial Hygiene, Anti-Semitism) no matter what the evidence to the contrary. The basic intellectual virtues (healthy skepticism, willingness to look for evidence which may change one’s beliefs) must be abandoned in order to maintain the fixed belief. Using Glover’s Humanity Part VI as a source (especially chapter 38), construct and explain a Nazi web of Belief. Identify what you think functions as a fixed point in this web, and why/how that belief anchors the system. You can do this as a drawing if you wish, with an accompanying written explanation.
