Purpose of this Assessment
This Final Assessment is designed to be an exercise in decision-making in an ethical dilemma situation. You are given the opportunity to deliberate on a real-world, complex ethical dilemma from your professional or public/community life in order to demonstrate applying two (2) ethical decision-making models for deliberation and decision-making. Consistent with the purpose of the course, this Final Assessment is evaluated on the application of appropriate evaluation, analysis of factors from the case, and satisfactory resolution through decision-making.
Items Required for Submission
● You will write and submit a 15 page written analysis paper demonstrating deliberation on the ethical dilemma case study, including resolution through defended decision-making.
– BOEING AIRLINES 737 SCANDAL: I have already written part one which is attached, I just need you to finish the paper
● The paper will outline and describe the ethical dilemma first, with all the necessary facts and information (I have already completed this and it is attached). The paper will then analyze the scenario using two (2) ethical frameworks/models. The framework/model used may be any of those presented in the competency.
● A decision using each of the models must be presented in the paper. The paper must end with one decision. In other words, applying two frameworks/models will result in two (potentially divergent) outcomes, and one decision must be selected, presented, and supported/defended.
● Consistent with due deliberation and analysis, a well-constructed paper will address all relevant factors and components in the case, and will be a demonstration of graduate level writing and analysis.
● A well-constructed paper will use accurate references as required, and will adhere to APA standards.
Step ONE: Reviewing the Case and Framework/Model Refresher
Outline the ethical dilemma scenario you have decided to use. The dilemma should be a Final Assessment: Outline and Rubric 1 real-world, complex ethical dilemma from your professional or public/community life. Make sure to have all the needed facts and information. Review the various ethical frameworks/decision-making models presented in the competency, and consider which two you may use for application.
Step ONE is already completed and attached to the instructions please complete steps 2-4. Please expand if needed.
Step TWO: Preliminary Assessment for Planning and Selecting a Framework/Model
After Step One (reviewing for initial assessment for process), plan your ethical deliberation and analysis activities (what you plan to do to get to the issue, understand the pertinent details/factors, etc.). Of the possible frameworks/models for application (including your own), select two that you will use to deliberate on the ethical issue in order to arrive at a decision.
Step THREE: Deliberate and Write
Most students will need to spend a substantial amount of time reviewing the case, taking informal notes, and maybe even diagramming. You are encouraged to do this as needed.
Application of the two models will be presented in one paper, using the following structure with headings.
● Introduction: Purpose of the Paper
● Narrative description of the Scenario (the scenario you select; you are telling the true story without analysis, editorializing, or coming to conclusions)
● Brief on Framework/Model Selection #1 (explain as though you were teaching; no application here)
● Brief on Framework/Model Selection #2 (explain as though you were teaching; no application here)
● Application for analysis of Framework/Model Selection #1
● Application for analysis of Framework/Model Selection #2
● Recommended Course of Action/Decision
