“Format and the Professional World”

Select ONE of the following and respond in detail:
There are several different formats (emails, letters, reports, slides, and more) we will study this quarter. How important is the format in connecting with an audience? Defend your answer with relevant support. Consider a time when the way a message was delivered to you made a difference. What were your expectations about the message and how were they influenced or changed by the manner in which the information was delivered?

2: Respond to a peer:

Peer: “Hello Professor and class,

It depends on your audience and what you need to relay to them when deciding which format to use. Also, how quickly do they need the information and what is the required turnaround time of their response? Any of the mentioned formats will be acceptable in professional writings however, whichever format that you choose to communicate with, these suggestions can ensure that your message is clear, concise and creative:
Know your audience and know what you need to tell them, Write clearly and direct the wording to your audience. Ensure the words are appropriate and prepared specifically for your audience. If you are using any statistics, dates or times, ensure that they are all correct. Make sure your research is interpreted correctly. When using any type of presentation make sure that the slides are easy to read and not cluttered with a lot of small writing. Colorful backgrounds, pictures, and creative fonts work best in keeping the attention of the audience.
Not that this exactly an example of a message format sent to me, but it is an example of how I interpreted the assignments that I was given to complete. Online classes are a bit more challenging than an actual classroom setting and the main reason for the challenge is that questions cannot be asked and answered immediately, sometimes it can be 24+ hours to get a response. I had an instructor that would publish the assignments in the syllabus as well as the weekly assignments. Not only did she give concise instructions for each assignment, but she also gave us a template that the most precise instructions to the assignment which even included the “blah, blah, blah”… this was where you were to put in your own words. Following her script made writing your paper much easier, “follow the script” she would say and all you would have to concentrate on is doing the research and organizing your thoughts.”Reading Reflection 130: assignment help philadelphia
