My practicum has consisted of Root cause analysis of a medication error that includes cause and effect to patient safety.
Looking at Joint Commission mock surveys and how they impact quality of care and patient safety within the hospital.
I have examined hand hygiene compliance throughout the organization and planning hand washing audits for my Practicum project.
My practicum project short goals are to define hand washing practices within two departments in the facility.
My long term goals are to correlate hand washing practices with compliance and examine the rate of infection within the organization.
