I’m studying for my Psychology class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

In your journal this week you will be discussing your own experiences with job stress. You may also discuss the stress you have experienced from school related work. Please address the following in your entry:
What are some of the stressors you experience at work? How do these stressors relate to the job stressors discussed in the text and lecture? For example, are the stressors you experience related to role ambiguity or conflict, quantitative or qualitative work overload, etc.? How did you resolve these stressors? Do you think these stressors caused short-term or long-term strain (TIP: look at the five step model of the job stress process on p. 285)? What steps could organizations take to prevent the stress process from occurring? How can employees better deal with strains (e.g., stress management techniques)?Discussion: nursing essay help

Part 1: Post a Response

Daniel Goleman, a psychologist, was the first to popularize the trait Emotional Intelligence, sometimes referred to as EI. Emotional Intelligence is a person’s capacity to be aware of her or his emotions and feelings towards others to influence their thinking and actions. The four components of EI are:
Self-awareness – This is your ability to read your own emotions accurately to know how your actions or lack thereof affect others. Self-management – This is your ability to control or regulate your emotions and act with integrity. Social-awareness – Gives you the ability to understand the needs of others and show empathy towards them. Relationship management – this is your ability to communicate clearly and convincingly, reduce conflict and build strong bonds.

Part 2: Respond to a Peer

Read a post by one of your peers and respond, making sure to extend the conversation by asking questions, offering rich ideas, or sharing personal connections.

RE: Week 3 Discussion

I agree with the author of this passage. Self management is an important component of emotional intelligent that if grasped can be a major component to the success or failure of your career.

I was in a situation in which a member of upper management came to my desk and slammed his hand on my desk and yelled at me. If I did not practice some self-management I could have easily yelled back at him, got in an argument with him or even a physical confrontation. Instead, I went to the plant manager and we had a meeting the three of us. The plant manager agreed with the fact that the member of upper management was in violation of company policy.English Composition I
