Your poster will explore an evidence-based psychosocial intervention used within mental health care and will include the evidence base for its use, typical presentations it is used with, theoretical underpinnings to the approach and the legal/ ethical/ professional considerations when using this intervention. Your poster should be well structured and create a strong visual impact. This will be an electronic submission. No more than 1000 words to be used within poster
You will receive an overview of the assessment in the introduction to the module and a group assessment tutorial mid-way through the module. In addition, in workshop 8 you will be given the opportunity to present your ideas to your peers and your marker and receive feedback to support your final submission.
Marking Criteria
1 Demonstrate sound knowledge and comprehension of the theoretical underpinnings of your chosen psychosocial approach, applying this to the clinical indications suitable for its use. 30%
2 Examine and present the evidence base for the use of this approach. 40%
3 Reflect upon and analyse the legal/ethical/professional considerations of using this approach in clinical practice. 20%
4 Create a clearly structured poster that creates a visual impact to engage the audience. 10%
