ABSN
Reflective Essay Requirements
Purpose:
The
purpose of the ABSN Reflective Essay is to assess student attainment of ABSN program
learning outcomes. Students will reflect upon their professional and personal
growth, as well as, service to the College and the community during the
educational experience. Reflection of professional and personal accomplishments
assist graduates in preparing for employment interviews and resume writing.
Due Date:
Due
date is November 7th @ midnight.
The
two-part essay must be satisfactorily completed to receive a grade for NUA 451.
Instructions:
Students
will complete a written essay explaining how the two components, as listed
below, have been met. The essay has two components including: 1) BSN Program
Learning Outcomes and, 2) Summative Reflective Essay.

The
essay is to be 6 to 10 pages in length, typed and double-spaced..
·
The
essay must follow academic, grammar/writing guidelines. Formal rather than conversational grammar must
be used. The essay is intended to be written in first person as it is a personal
reflection of accomplishments.

Submit
the essay as one document to the assigned drop-box.
·
Once
the instructor has verified successful completion of the essay, your instructor
will record that you have completed the Reflective Essay requirement.
PART I: Achievement
of ABSN Program Learning Outcomes
Explain
how you have met each of the ABSN program objectives (include at least one personal specific example per objective). A minimum of one paragraph for each outcome is required to
discuss attainment of the outcome.

client/patient names from clinical or community experiences. A minimum of one
paragraph is required for each topic.
