Medieval Europe or the Renaissance/Reformation. You will pick a topic from the choices below, but you will need to think of a historical question to answer in your paper. *Can use the textbook or books checked out from the library but must cite all sources used in Works Cited and in-text citations
*NO CLASS NOTES
*Works Cited in correct MLA format
*In-text citations for all sources used, correct MLA format
*No quotes – all information from sources should be digested and rewritten in student’s own words aka paraphrased
*Essay makes an argument, is not just descriptive

Formatting Directions
1. Your thesis & your argument in your body paragraphs should be bolded. Your larger significance in your conclusion should also be in bold.
2. Your topic sentences for your body paragraphs should be italicized.
3. Analysis of evidence should be underlined.
4. The only thing that should not be formatted in any way is your evidence. However, these should be the only sentences that have in-text citations!
