The type of system that operates in the Sultanate absolute hereditary monarchy. Every governorate is subdivided into provinces (wilayat).
The commonwealth of Australia is divided into six states and two territories: The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Canberra, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria. Australia has liberal democratic political system.
This assessment reflects Unit Learning Outcomes 1 & 2. Students who successfully complete this task should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of law, and identify the legal systems and institutions that administer and enforce the law.
2.Analyse the role of criminal law in society and the rights and obligations of the individual
3. Analyse an individual’s civil rights and responsibilities and the avenues available to redress problems, including identifying the essential elements of Tort Law, and the individual remedies available there under.
4. Identify the essential elements of a simple contract and the remedies available for the breach of contractual rights.
