Jhontavius Green and his girlfriend Mamie Wu have had a YouTube Channel throughout their college career. Both have invested copious amount of time in building their brand “Wu Jhon” which is a satire (comedic) reality show of their relationship ups and downs with a unique cultural spin. Both Jhon and Mamie attend the University of Southern California (USC) majoring in Visual Arts & Production with a Marketing (Product Development) minor. They met while taking an Advanced course in Production Management during the Summer Semester of their 1st Year in College.
Jhon and Mamie instantly hit it off having an abundance of similar goals and experiences too unique for either of them to ignore. They were inseparable ever since and now embark on the final year of college trying to figure out what will be the next chapter of their lives. They started the YouTube page in their 2nd Year of college. They went from only having a few subscribers when they started to over 650,000 subscribers by their 4th Year of college.
Currently, Jhon is growing a bit tired of their personal lives being on showcase for the world to see each week. He wants to shorten their 3rd Season of Wu Jhon to just 10 episodes. Instead of the 30+ episodes they have done the first two seasons. Mamie thinks that Jhon is getting tired of doing the show. But she doesn’t know how they can stop since they have been invited to the YouTube Studio Celebration event the last year for the YouTube Channel’s most successful programs based on their genre. They are ranked as the #7 top Couples Show on YouTube.
Mamie believes as Entrepreneurs they can really make this Channel a career builder if they continue to invest. YouTube wrote them a check for $150,000.00 for their #7 ranking for their category last year. Mamie believes if they work hard enough for two more years, they will hit over a million subscribers which means YouTube will write them a check for $1,000,000.
Mamie faces a real dilemma in continuing with the YouTube Channel which has exposed much of their relationship, and she knows it will be difficult for Jhon to feel comfortable if the shows continue. Jhon loves Mamie but isn’t sure he wants to take much more of the criticism and negative publicity they have received ever since they started the channel.
