Learning Goal: I’m working on a nursing discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn. provide a positive feedback to this two comments. #1: Because I am a lifelong learner, I consider myself to be one. A lifelong learner, in the most basic sense, is someone who continues to learn new skills and talents even after their official schooling has ended. It entails not just learning new things, but also cultivating a constructive and open-minded perspective on the world’s changing nature. Professional and personal development go hand in hand.We become an asset rather than the only ability you have to give if you develop well enough personally and professionally and remain to do so for the entire life. I feel that to be a lifelong learner is important because, in this new, more flexible, more dynamic global economy, lifelong learners thrive. When they have the opportunity, lifelong learners invent and reinvent themselves. This isn’t about changing jobs. It’s about ensuring you can keep your present job’s perks while still positioning yourself as a desirable asset if you need to find a new one. Lifelong learning is the ongoing education of the self(Fairbanks, August 04, 2021)References: https://www.phoenix.edu/blog/develop-lifelong-learning-mindset.html (Links to an external site.)#2: Nursing is my third career, starting in marketing and advertisement and then changing to customer service; I’d say yes, I am a lifelong learner. I feel that it’s so important to keep your brain entertained with information and experiences because after all, we were not born knowing everything. In my career as a nurse, I am still fairly new and so I know my learning journey is nowhere near over, but that’s what’s exciting you’re never standing still. There’s always something to be learned whether in practice or when you are dealing with families. Nursing always has a “teaching moment.” It’s important to stay up to date with techniques, policies, and innovations in medical practice so that you can be an asset to the intuition you represent and to the patient that you’re caring for.
