Learning Goal: I’m working on a cultural studies project and need a sample draft to help me learn.Digital PosterStudents will be tasked with creating a digital “poster” that answers the questions “What does justice look like?”. You may choose to answer this question in any way you like, and on any topic you like. Furthermore, you can focus on (in)justice that you have identified in your community/neighborhood, on this campus, in the larger state community, in a global environment or within greater U.S. society. Topics may include, gender identity, environmental justice, wealth inequality, racism, sexism, ableism or others. There is a lot of leeway for this assignment, however you are required to do the following:Identify your topic and present its historical and current contexts.
Be explicit in discussing who is most impacted by your topic and why.
Identify why your topic represents justice to you.
Indicate processes, solutions, strategies employed to achieve justice.
Use course and supplemental material as evidence/support.
Digital Poster Proposal You are required to write a 1-page proposal outlining your digital poster. In this proposal you should clearly and explicitly indicate your topic and have some sense to the answers for items 2-5 above. It is ok if your final poster differs from your proposal. In fact, it is likely that you will make changes. Keep in mind that the more effort you put into your proposal, the easier it will be to complete your poster assignment. We will allocate some class time to developing your proposals.Digital Poster Presentation In addition to the creation of digital posters, you will be presenting them in class. Presentation sign-up will occur through Canvas. If you miss this class, you are responsible for ensuring that you are signed up for a presentation slot.Digital Poster After presentations and feedback, you can make any changes to your poster and submit for final grading. Posters should be uploaded in Canvas.Remember, this is not a standard PowerPoint presentation (although you can use PowerPoint to make your poster). Be creative and think about how you want to present your answer visually.
