The Capstone project for ORGL 63CS is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to successfully integrate the elements of the MSDOL program into a meaningful proposal for a real-world firm or organization dealing with some significant real-world circumstance. In terms of content: Using the firm or organization you selected in the essay in week two and the competency area you chose for the essay for week three, address the following points: Introduce your chosen firm or organization;
Outline the pressing issue they are facing—its history, its background, how it came to be;
Identify and outline the specific recommendations you would make to the leadership of the firm /organization in that competency area to help address the pressing issue; and
Explain the outcomes you would expect to see if your recommendations were followed, and why.
In terms of process: The deliverable for the project is either a 10-15-minute narrated PowerPoint presentation or a 1500-2000-word APA Style essay covering the elements listed above.
You are to submit a near-final draft of the essay or PowerPoint presentation to three (3) of your class colleagues as assigned for review and feedback no later than midnight, San Antonio time on Thursday, 7 April.(A copy should also be sent to me.)Reviewers are to review the project in light of the rubric provided, and provide constructive, substantive feedback to the project originators (again, with a copy to me) no later than midnight on Wednesday, 13 April
Project originators are to consider the feedback and comments of their three peer reviewers, make any desired revisions/updates to their PowerPoint presentation/essay, and post their final project submission no later than midnight on Tuesday, 19 April.(As the author of the project you are under NO obligation to incorporate any of the feedback into your presentation/essay should you choose not to.)
The final project will be assessed by me and three of your class colleagues.These will be different class colleagues than those who provided review and feedback in week 6.These assessments, using the same rubric that was used to provide feedback, will be due no later than midnight on Tuesday, 26 April.
