I specifically require an Australian writer or a writer who is familiar with Australian Teaching Standards / Codes of Conduct etc etc. I am doing a Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood) and the content is quite specific to Australian Early Years Learning Framerworks/National Quality Schemes etc.
The assignment presents you with 3 scenarios based in different children’s centres and a few different interests that come with the children at the centres. You are required to choose 1 scenario and 1 interest and create 3 lesson plans (based on scenario and interest) for a small group of children aged 3-5 years.
The series of experiences should focus on three different curriculum areas (one each) and support children’s creativity and connection with nature. You will identify resources and discuss appropriate teaching and assessment strategies for diverse learners. Modifications for younger children will also be identified. It will be important to make links to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) (DET, 2016) and other relevant literature to support your decisions
There is no strict word count, it will be roughly 1800-2200 words but with the lesson plan templates, it is difficult to count words and therefore the lecturer wants to see quality and thought over quantity.
Lesson plan template will be provided. Scenario list will be provided. A copy of EYLF will be provided. Specifically the EYLF ouctomes (there are 5 main outcomes but you choose from the sub-categories under them for the lesson plan). A copy of developmental milestones will also be provided. Another good point of reference would be AITSL standards that can be found online. For referencing, please find peer-reviewed sources that talk about play-based theories and/or strategies. I will also try to provide you with a link to one of our textbooks. The main chunk of referencing will be EYLF and external peer-reviewed sources (in my opinion but you can use others too). There isnt a strict number on references so play with 2-5 I reckon. APA7th is the required style.
I will also provide 3 documents that will have a run down about the assignment. First, a word document. Second, a more detailed powerpoint document. Third, if possible, a 30 minute recording of the tutor going through the powerpoint and explaining here and there. If I can upload the video, I would recommend just watching the video and maybe having a brief look at the word document. If I cannot, then have a look at the word document and powerpoint.
