Begin Week One by introducing yourself, but let’s do it in a way that replicates how you might have to do it on an interview:
You’re often asked to “tell me about yourself” in a job interview. How should you respond?
First, read this article from CNBC.
Try the same ‘introduction’ here in this discussion. Follow the guidelines from the website:
Opening: Short and Sweet.
A motivational story: Briefly tells a story about a challenge you faced, what choices you made in response, and how the outcomes of those choices influenced your interest in the field.
Academic work and supporting experiences: Relevant courework, research, passion projects, internships, or past employment.
Closing: This can be a few short words explaining how your story and background make you a good fit for the job (or to take this class).

Save this somewhere safe! You might use this on an interview very soon!
Check back for a welcome from your instructor. Say hello to some of your classmates while you are at it!
This discussion should be completed by Wednesday of Week One.
