Assessment 2 Business Research Proposal – Individual Assignment (1500 to 2000 words) For this assessment, students are expected to present a written research proposal that is based on the literature review (Assessment 1) and demonstrates their understanding of business research/research paradigm. Based on their literature review, students are required to write a business research proposal outlining the details of the proposed research project that
addresses the gaps identified in the literature. Derived from the business topic, the proposal needs to include clearly state research questions (primary and secondary), and provide a solid research methodology that supports the feasibility of the research project Marking criteria of the research proposal include: the justification of the research questions that operationalize the research topic; the demonstration of a detailed research methodology addressing research instrument, sample size and sampling approach, research location/s and schedule as well as providing a critical assessment of the limitations of the methodology and the expected outcome of the research project.

Impact of business-to- business networking on innovations and performance in Australia Several studied identified and confirmed the significant importance of B2B networking and its importance in bringing continuous innovation in the organization. This enables a corporation to create their competitive edge in the marketplace because they raise their awareness towards the external environment and accordingly cope up with the changing scenario (Chesbrough, 2010; Romero and Molina, 2011; Baregheh, Rowley and Sambrook, 2009). Vowles, Thirkell and Sinha (2011) asserted that it is crucial for business partners to understand the importance of innovation and accordingly strategies can be lined up to achieve the same. On the other hand, Braun (2002, p.13) explained that Medium-Sized Tourism Enterprises (SMTEs) can effectively foster the culture of networking, learning, connectivity and trust between key strategic partners with the use of cooperative e- marketing campaigns and regional networking. He discovered that increased information flow support businesses in bringing innovation as it is considered as the crucial assets for the long run survival of the businesses in the new economy. It proves to be effective in global management requirement and providing support for several corporations in an effectual manner. It reflects that B2B networking is helpful for the performance of the business and bringing innovation in their varied business activities. Owing to this,
corporations should focus on their networking and flow of information. According to Chesbrough and Appleyard (2007) networking facilitates to resolve the issue related to communication and address the cultural barriers because a common language can be used by the consent of agreed party. In this manner, strategic partners can effectively complete the procedure of goal setting and innovation can be brought in an effectual manner. On the other hand, Pitt and et. al., (2006) explained that valuation of the informal network under the B2B environment. They found that businesses with the support of appropriate networking tend to perform better because they can stay connected with the suppliers and another global firm. This leads to creating the strong contacts through which business get strength in competition at the global level. Therefore, technological innovation and networking make it possible for businesses to improve their performance at a global level and expand their business with the assessment of the environment in an effectual manner.

Rampersad, Quester and Troshani (2010) explained that B2B networking support businesses by accelerating technological adoption and enabling them to render fast services. This is also helpful in improving the IT efficiency of the business so as to effectively accomplish purpose related to an internal redesign of the business. This shifts the focus of business from maintaining daily operation to delivering the business. Therefore, networking makes the overall work fasts and support businesses partners work with integration. Task 2: Individual Reflective Journal

For this assessment, students are expected to write a weekly journal over the duration of the 12-week teaching period that documents a critical analysis of their learning process. In the journal students need to reflect/review how they have progressed with the learning goals related to assessments 1 and 2. Students need to write their individual reflective journal concurrently to performing assessment tasks 1 and 2, i.e. from the first week of the subject. For each week, students need to make journal entries that provide a reflection of their ‘journey’ of gaining, and applying
knowledge of the research paradigm. For each week students should reflect and compare the theoretical knowledge with what they apply into practice. As assessment 1 and 2 are completed, students should clearly identify learning goals achieved.
