The presentation should provide an overview of the hotel & location, the performance of the hotel over the 5 year simulation and the strategies proposed to support growth in the future. As the purpose of the presentation to attract investment,
students should aim to convince investors that the hotel is a profitable investment opportunity. Given this, it is essential that the presentation is creative, professional and engaging.
The duration of the presentation should be 20 minutes on-campus students will present in class; online students will need to submit a video presentation via the learning portal. The presentation must be supported by visual aids, e.g. PowerPoint slides, images, videos, etc.
The presentation must be submitted in compliance with the following:
1. On-campus students will conduct the presentation in class in Week 11 and must upload their visual aids to the learning portal. Online students must upload a video presentation to the learning portal.
2. A minimum of 4 different references (minimum 2 academic & minimum 2 other sources) must be used. These must be referenced in the APA style, both in-text and in a reference list. References to Wikipedia or similar unsubstantiated sources will not be accepted.
3. Extensions cannot be granted by the lecturer after the submission date. In the event of serious illness or unusual circumstances, a student may apply for special consideration in accordance with the rules and regulations governing this application, but it is important that such requests be made as soon as the circumstance is known.
