This is the course theme From the beginning of history, humans have worked collectively in increasingly expanding networks that, by 1500, came to encompass the globe.here is some of my analysis I have done in this course.#1The document written by the Roman philosopher Munsonius Rufus explains his understanding of women’s education. He starts his document by stating that “Women have received from gods the same ability to reason that men have” meaning that women have the same obligation to speak out the way men do. Munsonius also explains what women go through in terms of not being able to make or follow with their own choices. Females oftentimes have to please the men in relationships without thinking twice about themselves or thinking at all about themselves. It is more about making sure the family image looks picture perfect. The study and practice of philosophy Rufus claims assists in situations like these. Since philosophy is the study of life and actions of life there are certain things that can be switched around to better the equality between men and women. Although, it is hard to stand up for yourself and make your own choices when being a woman there’s a possibility through philosophic doings this can easily be changed. Marriages were seen as a way to create offspring and have the women watch over the man rather than coming together because of love and happiness. Rufus makes that clear by explaining that, “In marriage there must be complete companionship and concern for each other on the part of both husband and wife, in health and in sickness and at all times, because they entered upon the marriage for this reason as well as to produce offspring”. This is something that was taught to young girls so they stuck to it to make their families proud even if the girl did not want to have kids. #2The first two parts of The House of Wisdom lay out the similarities and distinctions between religious impacts on knowledge and culture. Johnathan Lyons draws the contrast between Arab and Western worlds as the basis of later changes, seeing the disparities as more significant (Tripathi and goto, 2019). Westerners believe in anthropocentrism, whereas everything in Islamic civilization comes from God, returns to God, and creates humanity. Religion in the West is defined by feelings or a collection of rites and ceremonies; however, a Muslim sees religion as a way to personal, social, economic, and afterlife contentment. The primary difference between Islamic and Baconian education is that Islamic education is Thomist instead of Baconian. Even though Islam has a rich arithmetical heritage, it has not developed as rapidly as the West.Because Western nations perceive it, Muslim Religious education does not involve technological or scientific instruction. The House of Wisdom by Jonathan Lyons recounts Muslim cultural and scientific superiority over Christian Europe in the Middle Ages, arguing that the West now owes a debt to the Arabs and Islam (Lyons, 2009). As represented in The House of Wisdom, the Muslim World was sophisticated in mathematics, science, and culture during the Middle Ages. Algebra, calendrics, astronomy, and health are among the accomplishments highlighted by author Jonathan Lyons. He also emphasizes Muslim scholarship’s influence on later European advancements in these and similar matters.All across the Islamic Golden Age, the Film, which began as a library, became a reservoir of past and present learning, preserving important works of scholarship from Arab and Western countries (Tripathi and goto, 2019). Famous scholars of the time, like the Musa Banu Brothers, Al-Battani, and Al-Khwarizmi, were drawn to the House of Wisdom because it spoke and wrote a variety of languages, allowing information to be transferred from foreign texts in Persian, Syrian, Greek, and other cultures into Arabic.
