In the video, Prof. Banerjee explains the benefits of ‘intervention strategies” on the overall well-being of students (better social interactions, better attainment, better attendance). Imagine you are a stakeholder in an elementary or middle school (either a parent, teacher or administrator). Design and explain (in detail) at least two “intervention strategies” that could be implemented (at home or at the school) in order to foster the skills necessary for children to raise their social status. **Students writing from the perspective of a “parent” should design strategies that would be implemented at home; students writing from the perspective of a teacher or administrator should design strategies that would be implemented at school.
Include an overview of each strategy, which skill(s) the strategy intends to improve and the potential consequences for rejected children if your strategies aren’t implemented.
Your strategies should be realistic but you are encouraged to “think outside the box” and get creative!
