Your title is Integrating Information Technology into Homeland Security Operations, so the text of your paper should be rich with detail about information technology initiatives in homeland security, such as the following, and others being worked on by DHS’s Science and Technology Division: [you will find many examples of DHS information technology initiatives by researching DHS’s Next Generation First Responder (NGFR) Apex Program]. • Deployable broadband communications capability • Electronic recovery and access to data (ERAD) card reader • Finding individuals for disaster and emergency response (FINDER) • FireGround Compass • First responder support tools app • Low light internet-protocol camera • Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) • Smart city interoperability reference architecture (SCIRA) (being piloted in St. Louis) My recommendation, is that you state very clearly and specifically at the beginning of the paper, the exact DHS IT initiatives you will be talking about (FINDER, WUI, SCIRA, etc). Also talk about the DHS Science and Technology Division and NGFR. And then go on to discuss in detail the IT initiatives you selected, giving various examples of those technologies being used in actual or simulated situations. **I have provided you with detailed feedback.
