You should use facility and operations management concepts to critically examine the issues and support your argument, through the use of appropriate, high quality academic sources as references to evidence the discussions offered/developed. Question 1:
Children Playground (25 Marks / Minimum word count: 400 words)
1 Explain the impacts caused by 5 of the following playground hazards (2.5 marks for each). Provide and explain the solution(s) to reduce the impacts caused by such hazards at a private playground in a club house (2.5 marks for each).

Flooring Materials (30 Marks / Minimum word count: 400 words)
2. You are the manager of a LCSD (Leisure & Cultural Services Department) park, in which you are in charge of a project to build an outdoor soccer pitch in the park. As three types of flooring materials are considered to be used in the soccer pitch, including grass, artificial grass, and cement, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these three types of materials. (18 marks). And based upon this analysis, which type of materials would be used in the soccer pitch? (3 marks) Why? (9 marks)

Risk Management (20 Marks / Minimum word count: 350 words)
3 Frequency of exposure and magnitude of the risk are the two important considerations when assessing the risks at a sport facility. Define the significance of these two variables. (4 marks for each term). Provide four possible risks at a bowling center (8 marks) and analysis the impacts of these four risks by considering the frequency of exposure and magnitude of the risk (8 marks).

Characteristics of Services (20 Marks / Minimum word count: 350 words)
4 Describe the four characteristics of services (4 marks). Illustrate these four characteristics with the example of the rugby games from the Hong Kong Sevens (16 marks)
