Student L started the day having no difficulty following the morning hand washing. Then she went right to the sensory table, and ms. Dawn had not put the ice in it yet. So student L said I’m waiting and ms dawn responded, saying, a good job, waiting patiently. Then ms dawn put the ice in there with colored water, and student L asked for help, and ms Becky said, support, I can help. She needed help using the syringe, and ms beck showed her and then let her spit on her own. Student L got frustrated and changed center by going to dramatic play and pretending to fish then went over to ms dawn to ask her can you play with me and Mia dawn said thank you for inviting me to play. After playing with ms dawn. Was circle student L was participating in the good morning song and and counting friends student L had difficulty withdrawing an eight so ms dawn and ms Becky said hey everyone student l is having difficulty with writing the number eight let’s get out whiteboards and ms Becky helped Students l with writing the number by tracing it. After that student L had a hard time climbing up the slide so me and ms becky encouraged her to keep trying and she did and we clapped and congratulated her.
We came in and she talked about her snack and asked me to use the scissors to cut it open and we encouraged her to try it on her own. After it was time for center angina and she played nicely with her R and they shared the sensory melting ice cube with colored water we all said great sharing skills.
Afternoon Preschool I observed a student S he was distracted with talking to a friend and was encouraged to put his backpack up and coat. Then he was reminded to wash his hands. He had difficulty sitting at circle time today and ms dawn reminded him how to sit at circle time and they all sang the morning welcome song then they talk about what the schedule for the day and student S at center he wanted me to play with him and drawing snowman and he was doing great job holding the marker and telling me all colors he was useing. After we drew pictures we played bingo and he knew all the winter pictures for bingo. Student Swas having difficulty following directions to clean up from ms dawn and ms Becky. So I observed ms dawn bend down and use a low even tone to explain why we are cleaning up and that it’s time to see mommy and daddy
