Employee Manual Critique. For this assignment you will need to obtain a copy of the employee manual used by your current employer. 1) Read the entire manual and prepare a 3-5 page critique of your selected employee manual. Identify 3 policies (i.e. wage, time off, work place relationships, outside employment etc.) within the manual for critique. In the critique you are to explain the following for each selected policy:
a) Whether the policy either fosters or impedes interactional equality. Summarize the policy and state at least two reasons you believe it either fosters or impedes interactional equality. State your opinion as to whether the specified policy promotes or demotes the core needs (all three) of an employee. State whether the policy is good or bad for productivity in the work place and why.
b) Whether the policy either fosters or impedes procedural equality. Summarize the policy and state at least two reasons you believe it either fosters or impedes procedural equality.
