Reflective Writing Assignment:

Task 1: Professional Reading Reflection and Response 

1. You will select a topic relating to child and adolescent development from the weekly reading list (page 7 of SLG)
2. You will be required to read the content and respond to it by completing the Individual Professional Reading Reflection template located on LMS under Assessment for this Subject.
A. Your submission will demonstrate your understanding of the topic and your ability to reflect on, and respond to a professional reading.
B. Your submission will also include evidence of wider reading (from peer reviewed articles, government or professional websites and text books) to demonstrate a deep understanding of the topic.
C. Your submission will be written in academic language (avoid contractions, colloquialisms and dot points) with correct APA6 in-text referencing and a reference list (alphabetical order on a separate page).

Expectation: 1000 words (+/- 10%) of quality responses demonstrating a strong understanding of the concept being read.

Task 2: Digital presentation

1. You will select a topic relating to child and adolescent development from the weekly reading list (page 7 of SLG) which is different to the topic you chose for Assessment Task 1, part A.
2. You will be required to read the content and respond to it by completing the Individual Professional Reading Reflection template located on LMS under Assessment for this Subject.
3. Using your professional reading reflection template as a guide, you will create a 3-5 minute digital presentation on your topic.
A. Your digital presentation MAY be one of the following – Power Point, Prezi, Sway, Video, Animation, Voice Narration.
B. Your digital presentation cannot simply be reading your responses from the template. You will need to make the digital presentation naturally fluent and it must demonstrate your knowledge about your chosen topic.
C. Your digital presentation will also include evidence of wider reading (from peer reviewed articles, government or professional websites, and text books) to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic.
D. Your digital presentation will also include correct APA6 referencing and will be spoken using academic language (avoid contractions, colloquialisms, dot points) and will include a reference list (alphabetical order at the end of the presentation).

Expectation: 1200 (equivalent) words (+/- 10%) of quality responses demonstrating a strong understanding of the concept being read.

The final examination will be on-campus under formal examination conditions. The examination will cover the topics addressed in all readings, lectures, LMS activities and tutorials. It will consist of multiple choice and short answer questions which will examine understandings of the content of this subject. The short answer questions must answer the question addressed and be clearly written with a logical flow. An A4, double-sided, handwritten page of notes will be permitted, however, no sticky notes or additional pages/notes/attachments will be allowed.
