Think of a question that women/whanau might ask about water immersion or water birth.

Devise a search strategy to find information that is related to your question. Use this strategy to locate research articles and other sources of information in the Ara library databases and online search engines.

You need to ascertain whether the information is relevant to your question and what kind of a source of information it is.

2. What are the key words that make up your question? Remember to include alternative spellings and other words with same meaning eg. Water immersion/water birth/birth pool, labour/labor,

3. Which databases and/or search engines did you use? List them.

4. Write a brief self-assessment of your search strategy: describe how well your question, search terms and combinations, and database choices worked. If needed please identify how you could improve these strategies to support you to locate information to inform your future Transition to Parenting education content (max 350 words)

5. Identify one research article which you found that was relevant to your question (correctly referenced using APA style).  Briefly summarise (200 words) the findings of this research and comment on the ability to apply the findings to the New Zealand Aotearoa context.

6.  Identify one statement from an organisation which you found that was relevant to your question. Briefly summarise (200 words) the recommendations of the statement and comment on the ability to apply the recommendations to the New Zealand Aotearoa context.

7. Identify one website which you found that was relevant to your question. Briefly summarise (200 words) the information on the webpage and comment on the ability to apply the information to the New Zealand Aotearoa context.

8. Identify one other credible piece of literature (literature review, opinion piece, editorial) which you found that was relevant to your question. Briefly summarise (200 words) the findings of this piece of literature and comment on the ability to apply the findings to the New Zealand Aotearoa context.

9. List two other sources that you did NOT consider to be credible after assessing using the Raura Whakarare Evaluation Framework. Please include APA reference for each source and then write a brief summary (200 words) describing WHY it is not a credible source.

10. Provide an overall summary of the information from the credible sources you have identified above on 2 PowerPoint slides that you could use to support information sharing in a Transition to Parenting context. Please include the 2 slides below as a part of your Worksheet
