there has been a research  discussed the related to gender and behavior during negotiations. The research shows that women are more likely to wait to be to recognized before speaking. The upside of this is that women tend to use good listening skills. The downside: women’s voices may not be heard.
“In contrast, men use much more direct language,” Streeter says. “They’re clear about motives and goals. Men also talk for longer and interrupt more often.” The research shows that this means that men may get their point of view across, but it also means they may not be listening to the other side.
