In Chapter 10, Otten and Tuttle (2011) describe a variety of group reinforcement systems. In Chapter 11, reinforcement programs are discussed. Token economies are systems that can be used in a classroom management plan that are almost a hybrid of these two. In some respects, they are a group-wide behavior management system that contains reinforcement, while in other ways, the reinforcement is often only applied to the individual who earns the tokens.
