Discussion Board Question: Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Aztec OR Inca empire. Here are some factors you should consider: the way of life and form of agriculture, religion and the role of gods, leadership, relations with neighboring peoples, and the climate or environment. How does the empire you chose to discuss compare with other empires we have discussed, especially China and Rome? Be sue to compare and contrast the differences with the Aztecs or Incas.

the reply should like like this (i like your post and I was most inspired by the way Aztecs and Incas came up with creative ways to farm and entertain themselves, very different from our other topics the word entertainment rarely showed up)

The Aztec empire were settled in the city of Tenochtitlan. The Aztecs were highly skilled and successful from farming. They lived in a society where they honored wealth. They celebrated gods and religion in their society. They loved doing sacrifices to keep the gods happy, and they valued warriors in their society. For weaknesses, the Aztecs had a low resistance to diseases. They also sacrificed too many of their population. The Romans and Aztecs were similar in ways of entertainment, games, and warriors. The Aztecs often had negative relationships with other tribes due to war.

both Americas lived a simple life, with no real political system they let the elders or rulers make the majority of decisions. Although in our previous discussions they did depend on their environment heavily which determined wealth and status. Aztecs and Inca showed astounding creativity by producing different forms of entertainment like ball games.
Gods also were very important in Aztec life and The Inca. Aztecs worshiped The god Quetzalcoatl who was the god of civilization, and Inca worshiped the sun-god Inti. similar to the Chinese and Egyptian culture’s worship of different gods. Both America’s empires prioritized Warriors, they were important especially in the Aztec society just like the Spartans and Roman empires. The Incas lived in a more rigorous terrain versus the Aztecs settled on a lake. But they both have the same process for determining their successor which would be the ruler or emperor’s son. Depending on the environment and climate I believe is one reason they both declined but Aztecs sacrificing warriors and people sped the process even more
